Group sessions are held Monday through Friday from 10 am to 3 pm PST, with additional activities through the Festival’s Facebook Group. Daily warm up sessions will take place 9:00 am. Private coaching sessions will be arranged between faculty members and their assigned students.
Daily special topic discussions presented by the faculty and visiting artists
Special classes on Bach interpretation and Baroque ornamentation
Two private (30 minute) lessons
Daily interactive seminars on confidence-building, professional comportment and audition preparation
Practice ideas for performance readiness
Conversations with two visiting conductors and concertmasters on the fine points of orchestral auditions and preparation
Conversations with visiting luthiers about instrument maintenance, how to choose a bow or find your instrument
Tech equipment kit with USB Microphone and Headphones
One movement of Bach Solo Sonata or Partita and a movement of a standard violin Concerto (uploaded to the Audition portal)
A letter of recommendation from your private teacher(s) submitted by your teacher via Accepted Audition Portal
$50 Application Fee for Participants and Auditors
Ability to connect to WiFi with connection of at least 20 mbps (download) and 10 mbps (upload). Upload speeds below 5 mbps produces poor quality video and audio. Participants will receive a tech package as a gift to keep the quality of sound and connection at a maximum best. (Phone connections are not acceptable.)
